National Contemporary Art Award consists of an array of artist in the visual arts.
The work in this show, although obviously disconnected for the competition, consisted of ideas and materials which interested me, a fair few of the works caught my eye. The works of interest had focuses on looking and observing but also an internal reach into the self.
Boon festival
A collection of artists who have created murals around Kirikiriroa. I have continued to enjoy a connection between painting, walls and a connection to concrete and how paint sits on other surfaces, at times my own work relates to murals as they have a connection to art and the outside, a connection to how landscape is being included to the narrative of art in Aotearoa.
