The Housing market

As someone who is not for but happens to live in a capitalist country I am conflicted with the ideas surrounding selling art and the idea of money as something to strive for. I believe things shouldn’t be sort after for a ‘value’ we are not removed from nature but our awareness puts us in an awkward position to the natural world and how we approach the world will affect the future. I believe we are simply living at the now and should look after and not put a ‘sell’ value on the land but see its value as future needs not temporary wants.

Capitalism is often shoved down our throats growing up, work hard to win, make it to the top your worth is how much you own. Value is often given to everything, it has a cost before use, land was given a price from capitalism removed from the meaning being from it just being it had to have a value on humans which is a messed up self centred view of the world, the world doesn’t owe us anything and land shouldn’t have to be for us.
Money has this almost green washing to it as well it is often referred to as being “green”.
